Safaricom Women in Business
Nadia Abbas

Nadia Abbas is from Kilifi County.

She has always had an interest in IT but lack of finances for her education derailed her dream right from secondary school level. She cleared high school in 2014 and scored a C- grade, a grade she believes would have been better had she had a consistent academic life without the hurdle of lack of school fees.

After completing secondary school, Nadia undertook a computer applications certificate course before embarking on a one year diploma course in Information Technology.

She has worked as an M-Pesa teller and a secretary to make ends meet, and she is sure that the Apprentice program will open up the doors for her to join the corporate sector and fulfill her dream of becoming an outstanding technical engineer.
